Colossal Fossils Educational Series
Colossal Fossils of Wausau is offering a free, 16-week course that is just for libraries and their patrons, and schools. Each 1-hour program (one per week) is filmed live at the Colossal Fossils Downtown Museum and showcases its incredible collection of dinosaurs, Ice Age mammals, and anthropology exhibits. The 16 programs cover a wide range of topics including paleontology, anthropology, and Ice Age primitive skills, diving deep into human technology over the past 40,000 years or more. The programs are tailored to interest 5 to 11 year-olds.
The first presentation will be on Zoom on Monday, September 7 (Labor Day) at 4:00 p.m., and then each Monday at the same time until December 21. Each 60-minute program includes a 45 minute presentation, followed by 15 minutes of question and answer time, giving participants an opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the subject matter. Recordings of the videos will be available for two days after the live shows.
